Delicious sauerbraten with WELA FIX
The sour taste of sauerbraten is a real classic in German cuisine. With the right recipe and the right ingredients, you can be sure that your sweetheart will love this dish. This is what you need:
- 2 kg of beef brisket
- 200 ml red wine vinegar
- 300 ml apple juice
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 packet of WELA FIX
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
- Put the beef brisket in a saucepan and add the vinegar, apple juice and sugar - bring everything to the boil.
- Then add the WELA FIX and reduce the heat; leave to simmer over a low heat for approx. two hours - add enough liquid to just cover the meat.
- Remove the beef brisket from the pan after the cooking time has elapsed and serve warm with fresh mashed potatoes or roast potatoes; pasta or dumplings also go perfectly with it, then pour some sauce over the dish and enjoy!
