Introduction: A juicy beef tenderloin in a rich red wine sauce is a true delight, perfect for special occasions. With WELA Fix-Sauce Binder Dark, you can make this sauce in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 4 beef tenderloin steaks (approx. 200 g each)
  • 1 package WELA Fix-Sauce Binder Dark
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 200 ml red wine
  • 200 ml beef broth
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Season the beef tenderloin steaks with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the butter in a large pan and sear the steaks on both sides until they are cooked to your liking. Remove the steaks from the pan and keep warm.
  3. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
  4. Sauté the onion and garlic in the same pan until soft.
  5. Pour in the red wine and let it reduce by half over high heat.
  6. Add the beef broth and bring the sauce to a boil again.
  7. Stir in the WELA Fix-Sauce Binder Dark until the sauce thickens.
  8. Add the rosemary sprig and let the sauce simmer for another 5 minutes.
  9. Season the sauce with salt and pepper, remove the rosemary sprig, and serve the steaks with the red wine sauce.
